Solent Forum Subgroups

The Solent Forum membership is large and represents a variety of sectors. To consider particular matters strategically the Solent Forum establishes subgroups. There are currently three subgroups in operation: a Recreation Group; a Water Quality Group; and a Nature Conservation Group. Such groups contribute many outputs to the overall management of the Solent and wider stakeholder community.

The results of the 2007 Business Plan survey showed that members find such groups useful for networking and building relationships although there may be a need to create mechanisms to work across groups.

The Business Plan also found that members consider there may be a need for a communications subgroup. We also set up sub-groups that are time limited, these are task led groups for example for on website upgrading.
