Solent Research

The Solent Forum is fortunate to have a number of further education establishments and coastal and marine related consultancies on its doorstep. In partnership we these organisations and institutions we have undertaken strategic research and delivered conferences, seminars and workshops.

The Solent Forum awards research funds to student projects that further knowledge on the Solent and its coastline. Visit our bursary page for details.

The Solent Forum has a research subgroup to provide networking for local research and academic communities.

State of the Solent is a regular publication of the Forum that seeks to determine the “health” of the Solent area using specific indicators for sustainable coastal management.
