Nature Coast Project

The Nature Coast Project exists to raise awareness of all coastal conservation issues in West Sussex, one of the most urbanised coastlines in Britain. The Project works with coastal engineers and planners to ensure that provision for biodiversity is incorporated into their work. The wardens are involved in monitoring wildlife, reporting information, raising awareness and working as part of a team.

West Sussex Beach Wardens. The Beach Warden Scheme aims to protect the treasures of the West Sussex coastline and help people discover what a wealth of wildlife lives along our shores. A programme of six training days is provided and Beach Wardens will have access to a wealth of advice and support through the Nature Coast Project. Enthusiasm is more important than expertise. Once trained you will be supported by an organised network of fellow Beach Wardens.
