Hampshire Conservation Volunteers

The nature of the job depends to a large extent on the time of year but weekend tasks involve:

• woodland management
• path work
• fencing
• heath and downland management
• hedge-laying
• pond restoration

The majority of the work is for Hampshire County Council, local councils, Natural England, schools and various charitable trusts. New volunteers are always welcome and no previous experience is required. Before work starts, training is given in the safe use of tools and any potential hazards are explained.
