Main Objectives of Group	To encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in Southampton; To stimulate public interest in, and care for the beauty, history and character of the city; To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features of public amenity or historic interest.
What the Group does	Review planning applications for listed buildings and conservation areas; Review major developments; Review development and maintenance of heritage sites and open spaces; Arrange a design award for new and refurbished buildings.
Regular Publications	Bi-annual newsletter on planning and other local issues.
